3X - WALKTHROUGH

MORNING

After the opening scene, PULL PARKING BRAKE in order to escape from the creature.

If you talk to Officer Buck Wilcox in the police station, he'll ask for proof of the creatures. You can find it in
Yoshida Floral, but you'll have to get Jenny out of the way so you can enter. Take the sketchbook you can find in the road
and give it to the goat in the junkyard--he'll follow you hoping for more food, and you can tell Jenny to go to the parade
while the goat eats the trimmings she's supposed to be sweeping. Now you can enter Yoshida Floral and take the glowing seed.
Talk to Officer Wilcox again to progress to the afternoon.

AFTERNOON--THE FAIR

Now you can go south and explore the town further. At the fair, you'll find Buck's nephew, Deputy Wilcox. Talk to him and you'll
find out he wants three pieces of evidence in order to believe your tall tale about the creatures.

THE PIE - You can find a gruesome glowing pie at the pie tasting tent, but you can't take it while the event is going on, so you've got
to stop Mary Jane eating pie somehow. There are two possible solutions. You can take the green pills from the green canister in the five
and dime and put one in the row of pies. It will eliminate her appetite when she eats it. Alternately, you can take the physical results
from her purse (you'll have to talk to her once and get her to check them in order to open it) and replace them with the seedling growth
chart from Yoshida Floral, which will confuse her if you ask her to look at it again and make her call off the contest. Either way, now
you can take the gruesome glowing pie.

THE TOMBSTONE - You get this by 'dying' on the haunted house ride--or more accurately, by riding with someone the ride will detect as
dead because they lack a heartbeat. Talk to the Wife of Tomorrow at the Tomorrow Pavilion and get her to follow you, then ride the
ride. It will think she's dead at the end and open the case.

THE TROPHY - You get this by winning the shooting gallery at the midway games, but you can't do it with the cruddy BB gun provided.
Instead, you need the cosmic ray gun Renee is carrying. Talk to Renee in Finch's Diner and tell you you're as big a science fiction
fan as she is. You'll need to prove it by reading the comics at the five and dime, then quoting one at her when you have the
chance. She'll let you borrow the gun. Take it to the midway games and pick up the BB gun to start the shooting gallery, but
when the duck appears, use the cosmic ray gun instead. Bam! Now you've got a trophy!

Now that you have all three items, you can show them to Deputy Wilcox and trigger the next section of the game.

EVENING--THE TUNNEL AND LAB

After the cutscene, you'll be in Harding Tunnel with Renee and Mary Jane. You need their help to open the grate, but they need some
time to recover, so check out the police car to the northeast (open it and look at the body inside). When you return, talk to Renee
she'll help you get the grate off. Inside the lab, you can go up the stairs and talk to the Professor. Ask him about everything you can,
then exit the conversation and read the blackboard in order to get a checklist and access to the rest of the lab. In the Hall of Amazing
Advancements, look at the weapons display to find the RPS cannon. By turning the dial twice, you can set the cannon to 'paper' mode, allowing
you to destroy the rocks in the tunnel with one shot. Now you can explore what's left of the town fully to find the objects the professor
needs.

NIGHT -- BUILDING THE B.U.B.U.

There are six components you'll need to put together to make BUBU and destroy the brain guzzlers. They are--

BRAIN GUZZLER DNA -- Take the eggshells near Buck's body from the police car in the tunnel. You must have spoken with the Professor
before you can take them, and you must look at the body to spot the shells.

PERFORATED SILVER MEMBRANE -- The screen from the drive-in will do nicely. Again, you need to speak with the Professor before taking it is
possible.

CHASSIS -- Ask the Professor how you're supposed to get this and he'll admit he only needs a design for it. Ask Renee in the living room
and she'll make one for you.

MICRO-MINI COMPUTER -- You need the Head of the Wife of Tomorrow for this. First, you'll need to get into the Beat Barn, where you'll find
Traudl holding it onstage. You need to get on the stage, but you can't while the beatnik bodyguard is watching you. Fortunately, he likes
coffee, and the giant mug you can find near Professor Minsky is just what you need...if only the doorman would let you bring it inside.
Trick him by dropping the telepod from the Hall of Advances inside the club, then putting the mug on the telepad in the kitchen and pushing
the button to teleport the coffee past him. Give it to the bodyguard, then get onstage and talk to Traudl. She wants to see you have
the soul of a poet, but nothing you can say will be good enough for her...so you're going to have to prove that you're beyond hope, instead.
Every time she prompts you with a line, pick a response that rhymes, which will quickly drive her so bonkers that she'll call off the test
altogether. (You can also bypass the contest if you picked the book of poetry at the beginning of the game.)

FRUCTONIUM -- Jenny can purify this for you, but you need to find her first -- she's in her family's shop, which has been taken over by
the army. Talk to her to convince her to return, then chat with her in the kitchen (you'll need to have asked the Professor how to make
fructonium) and ask if she can help make it for you. She can, and all she needs is fresh fruit, but the hydroponic garden isn't ripe!
Talk to the plants to help them grow and you'll soon have plenty of fruit to give to Jenny.

SPORK -- Put the spoon and the fork on the telepad at the same time and push the button, then retrieve your newly Cronenberged utensil
from the telepod.

Once you have all six items, give the last ones to the Professor and use the BUBU when he gives you the option. The End...?
